Introduction

I'm Kathryn Pogue and this is my Production Technology Blog for my first year of BSc Film Production Technology. This blog will be following my journey in creating the short film 'The Call' in which I will be working with Chenice Gynn (Producer and Art Designer), Niamh Thompson (Director) and Zen Quin (Sound Designer and Editor). I will be working on the production as a cinematographer.

Aim

The aim is to create a short film called The Call by writer Kevin Li concentrating specifically on the Cinematography.

Objectives

Over this module Kathryn will be looking at completing the following objectives.

1. Researching the fundamentals of cinematography thorough analyzing works of other cinematographers. She will also use books and online references to research into the 5 C's of cinematography.
2. After researching into cinematography, learning about how to shoot a film to a higher standard, she will then apply this research to her film. With her team, she will create a short film. 
3. Shoot a short film, following the brief outlined in the proposal and to a professional standard.
4. Analyze the results of the team's work, looking at the strengths and weaknesses and how the film could have been made better.
